Clips, news and insight by Ryan, for the masses!

Heres my deal....I consider myself an Independent Voter, I hold no party affiliation. I voted for Bush Jr. TWICE! Yes, I will admit it. That being said, I am very excited about America's choice in Barack Obama. If nothing more, I believe that it represents a call for change in American politics.

I will try to bash all parties equally, although you will see more right bashing than left. I'm sorry, that's just who I am. Like I said, Obama has struck a cord with me....we will see how long it lasts. I will though take swings at either party when I see something I don't like.

I am what most would call a liberal, so Republican tactics and style really get on my nerves. ALL politicians suck, but I will try to be fair. We live in a great age of information. Everyone should be informed.

We should be looking forward to a new era of American politics where our president encourages public involvement in the presidency and listens to our concerns. I expect Barack Obama to hold up to his end of the deal. If he does not, I will be the first to say so.

Lets give it some time people. We have not been cured of our racism in America, but we are making strides. I am not a religious man. I have my own beliefs, but you will find no religious bias here! I find most people hide behind religion in order to cover up their own prejudice and use their convictions in order to cast judgement.

Tired of me yet? :)

Alaska May Not Be As Dumb As We Thought

Picture 1

It seems as if the Senate seat is not going to go to Stevens after all. That’s good news not just if you’re a Democrat, but if your against corruption. Stevens, you may remember, was indicted by a federal grand jury on seven counts of failing to report gifts received. Stevens pleaded not guilty and asserted his right to a speedy trial, which began on September 25, in Washington, DC, to have the opportunity to clear his name before the November election. However, on October 27, 2008, barely a week before the election, Stevens was found guilty on all seven counts. If re-elected, Stevens will become the first convicted felon ever to be elected to the United States Senate. We can all still have faith in human beings if in fact Begich makes a comeback. If for no other reason then to not reward fraud. This type of precedent we could do without, no matter your party preference.
