Clips, news and insight by Ryan, for the masses!

Heres my deal....I consider myself an Independent Voter, I hold no party affiliation. I voted for Bush Jr. TWICE! Yes, I will admit it. That being said, I am very excited about America's choice in Barack Obama. If nothing more, I believe that it represents a call for change in American politics.

I will try to bash all parties equally, although you will see more right bashing than left. I'm sorry, that's just who I am. Like I said, Obama has struck a cord with me....we will see how long it lasts. I will though take swings at either party when I see something I don't like.

I am what most would call a liberal, so Republican tactics and style really get on my nerves. ALL politicians suck, but I will try to be fair. We live in a great age of information. Everyone should be informed.

We should be looking forward to a new era of American politics where our president encourages public involvement in the presidency and listens to our concerns. I expect Barack Obama to hold up to his end of the deal. If he does not, I will be the first to say so.

Lets give it some time people. We have not been cured of our racism in America, but we are making strides. I am not a religious man. I have my own beliefs, but you will find no religious bias here! I find most people hide behind religion in order to cover up their own prejudice and use their convictions in order to cast judgement.

Tired of me yet? :)

Oh Obama.

The President should have stayed out of this, period. At least the details. Talk about how far we have come on race relations and talk about how we should change the drug laws to ease overcrowding in our prisons, just stay away from the specifics of the case. Especially, when you don’t know them all!

I do agree though that the police probably overreacted. I have know a ton of cops and deputies who have taken much more abuse than this guy took and walked away wishing the person a good day. Not at all saying the professor was right. As a professor of African-American studies and a highly educated man, he should not have sunken to playing the race card. He too should have thanked the police for doing their job!!!

Race was NOT an issue here until the professor made it one. Even then, the police should have walked away. I know it sucks and I know its not easy, but sometimes you just have to walk away and be the better man.

Its unfortunate that this happened, it’s not everyday the guy you piss off has a direct line to the White House!

Daily Kos is my source for all things nowadays it seems. Geez.
